Ted and Christine Edwards

Directors of Military Ministry, MCRD Parris Island

Ted and Christine were married in 1990. They have two children; Valerie was born in 1996 and Timothy in 2000.

Ted joined the Marine Corps after graduating high school in 1987. He served his country for 4 years on active duty and did a short tour in the reserves. Ted came to faith in Christ through the faithful witness of a fellow Marine in his unit. He was ordained in 2000 and has 15 years of ministry experience as an associate pastor/youth pastor and did mission work in various Asian countries with The Mailbox Club International.

Christine came to faith in Christ as a young girl through the faithful witness of a missionary. She holds a degree in dental hygiene, however, she has dedicated herself as a homemaker and has home- educated the children for 10 years.

Ted and Christine completed New Staff Training with Campus Crusade for Christ in May of 2007.

The Lord has given them a special burden to come alongside Chaplains to serve them and all of our military personnel at Parris Island. "They are our tribe!"
